Special Ed Ferguson
A native of Shreveport and Houston home-towner, Special Ed Ferguson has a long history of guitar slinging starting with a popular Houston blues band, Eastex Freeway. Relocating to the Texas Hill Country, Special Ed has played with such famous Austin bands as I-Tex and the Mau Mau Chaplains.
When he is not busy mixing and producing at Hills Parlor, Ed has a full time music instruction career. He has sat in and pinch hit for the truck since it's formation in the early ninetys. Ed has been a full timer for a few years now, breaking in his style before thousands of European and American country music enthusiasts.
The current lineup of Stop the Truck and the Mau-Mau Chaplains are some of my oldest friends and cohorts. Playing with them for many years makes these bands comfortable terrain to trod. See you at the show.
