Dear Marilyn,

The gig was fantastic! A big success!. Not only the gig, but the guys. It was a big pleasure to meet them and enjoy their company. I would like to have them back again, perhaps next summer.

Dear Marilyn,

THEY’RE JUST GREAT. Yesterday was their first night and it was really fantastic, even when, as you know, Friday isn’t the day of a big crowd, so I’m afraid this night the Jambalaya will be too small. Today Andreu planned to take them through Barcelona, but it’s raining all day. Just too bad. That many days in a year and today, with plenty of time "to do" Barcelona, it’s raining. They’re so nice. Really wonderful persons. You got great friend and they adore you. To-morrow all of them (Andreu included) are going to have a big time in Girona, organized by Lluis Sala. I’ll stay at home as early in the afternoon someone has to open the bar, so tomorrow I’ll write you about today. Have a nice weekend,

Love,

Hanny

Dear Marilyn,

I´ve been to see the STOP THE TRUCK concert in Jambalaya club, and let me tell you just how much I enjoyed it! They´re absolutely great!! Pure! with lots of talent spilling out of them. The concert was great and I guess the band had a great time too, and felt pretty much like home(Austin). I haven´t had the change to witness many country concerts, but what could be better than that? They´re excellent:

guitar player, drums, bass, vocals...... just fantastic! There was so much talent there that we didn´t miss the steel guitar or fiddle at all.

I met them and they sure were kind. Simple people, just like we assume country singers should be. Don´t forget to keep in contact should any news about you and the band be known around here. I hope I´ll meet you either in Texas or here someday. Your friends told me what a great woman you are!!

See you, thank you.

Hello Marilyn and Michel,

For the moment, the STT guys are having a great success everywhere they go and they’re having a great time! They say that the Menorca gig was excellent and that they want them back in September. The Jambalaya ones were also terrific and Andreu says that September would be OK to hire them back again! They even were filmed by TV3, the catalan channel, while they were on stage at the Jambalaya on Friday night as the last news of the early afternoon report. Yesterday we gathered at Jordi Colomer’s country house and we shared some very special moments with them. There were 25 of us and everybody loved them. That was a great day!!

End of the report. :-)))

I hope you’re all doing well!!

Hello Marilyn,

WOW!!! Last night was just too good. We made full house and even had to tell the one that sold the tickets to stop admitting more people, only the ones usually comes to the Jambalaya. They were so good that the rednecks even forgave them two reggae numbers! As I told you, Saturday was a rainy day, so they didn’t go to Barcelona. At about 6 o’clock Andreu picked them up and brought them to our home, so they could do some e-mailing and e-navigation. Boomer would like to see Andreu’s guitars anyway, so they all came up. They made some guitar picking and we had a very nice afternoon. I prepared some snacks, but forgot to tell them that we would have supper afterwards....Maybe when you see them back they will have gained some pounds. On Friday night we had some people of the Catalan television over and they did some recordings. Saturday, at midday, it was transmitted in the news program. Only a few minutes, but very nice. We taped it at home and will make a copy. Next Tuesday they will go to the radio, for an interview. It’s a country music program (one of the very fews we have) and it is for the national channel, with audience all over Spain. So you see, your guys are going to be famous over here. I hope all their other gigs will go well to.

Hey Mike!!

The first show in Girona was also excellent and we all enjoyed it a lot. There were some 150 people, which is not bad for a Wednesday night. I don’t know how many CDs they sold, but I presume they’re happy with everything so far! I’ll tell you more about it!

Dear Marilyn,

We are back home just 10 minutes. We let STT 45’ minutes before. We went all together to visit a medieval village on a hill at 30’ minutes from Lyon. We ate a sandwich all together and they left to Switzerland.

Marilyn, we have had such unforgettable hours all together. The show was so great, the crowd so enthusiastic. Dozens of people came for the first time in their lives at a country music show and at the end just before leaving they came to thank us : it was unbelievable.

The band was so good on stage that everybody from the specialists to the neophytes felt under the charm of this Texas Music. It was also perceptible that the band was taken a great pleasure to be on this stage and to play in France. Everything was perfectly organized : Eric was very very very very satisfied with the band : he thank them and me I don’t know how many times. Saturday morning we have visited Lyon: they particularly liked the Roman ruins and the old town. more than 400 people came that is to say that it has been a real success.

It will be not a surprise for you if I tell you that ,and as it was when you left, Christine cried a lot in the car when they we let them. They are all so nice persons, so wonderful people that now they have got a seat near you at the first rank in our hearts. We are proud to have you all as friends and you can be sure we will do our best to keep this relationship alive in the future.
